Maria and Tyler’s wedding day was so beautiful. They kept the day focused on love– both their love for each other and the love of their friends and family.
They started the day at St. Bartholomew Church in Columbus, IN. Maria wore her mother’s dress (so sweet, right?) and the entire bridal party wore Tom’s Shoes. Tom’s Shoes donates a pair of shoes to a child in need for each new pair of shoes purchased. Maria and Tyler were able to send 50 pairs of shoes to children in a 3rd world country because they chose to outfit their entire bridal party in Tom’s Shoes.

I had never been to Columbus and I was pleasantly surprised at its beauty. I will definitely be planning a trip back soon. One of the jewels in Columbus is the Inn at Irwin Gardens where we were able to stop on our way to the reception. Since their wedding was in the morning and their reception in the late afternoon, they schedule a lot of time for photos, which I, of course, loved.

Maria and Tyler are both talented actors and were naturals in front of the camera.

Their reception was at the Hobbit Farm in Kokomo, IN. The Hobbit Farm is a very cool property belonging to Tyler’s parents and it offered even more stunning scenery. The building is built right into a hill and it feels a like the ultimate secret hideaway tree house, if that tree house was actually in the ground instead of above it. They placed a tent on the grounds for a space for eating and dancing (Maria’s dad’s band provided the music) and the pumpkins and sunflower accents were perfect against the fall backdrop. We were able to capture some moments with Maria and Tyler around the property before the reception began.

Maria was a lovely bride and such a free-spirit.

The Hobbit Farm is a place where Tyler’s family likes to relax and Maria and Tyler wanted their reception to reflect that easy-going atmosphere. They encouraged their guests to dress casually at the reception and after their formal dances, Maria and Tyler changed into the cutest matching bird tee-shirts (they matched their invitations and their sweet cake topper, too!)

It’s no secret how much I enjoyed Maria and Tyler’s wedding– I think the two of them are among the sweetest couples I’ve had the pleasure to meet and photograph.
