New look for Sarah Parent Photography

About a year ago I set out on a quest to overhaul my photography business branding.  I made my old logo myself about 6 years ago  and it was long overdue for a change.  I set out in search of a graphic designer and was very fortunate to find Dan Gneiding of Grayhood.  Dan is an extremely talented designer, Star Wars fan :), and a super nice guy to work with.  He currently works as a senior graphic designer at Urban Outfitters and has worked with Anthropologie in the past, two brands I completely adore, so I knew his design style would  match my vision for my new brand.  I think he did an absolutely AMAZING job and I seriously can’t thank him enough.

(Dan also designed my new letterhead, business cards, envelopes and stickers (fun!!) which I will be debuting on the blog soon.)

My next step was finding a web designer.  I’d heard so many good things about ShowIt Sites and I had the opportunity to see a presentation by David Jay, founder of ShowIt Sites, at a photography conference back in 2008, which got me interested, but I didn’t really know where to start.  Designing my own site from scratch felt like a daunting task, so that led me to Spilled Milk Designs.    I showed them the materials Dan had created and they used that to design the new sarahparent.com  which I’m sooo excited to launch!  There are two separate parts of the site.  A “Love” section to showcase my wedding, engagement, and Ever After shoots and a “Life” section for all of my lifestyle and high school senior work.

Thank you to the whole crew over at Spilled Milk Designs, especially Nick and Rachael!  They went above and beyond to take care of me.

Also, many thanks to my friend and fellow photographer Mike Wise, for taking photos for the “About Me” section of my site.  The very lovely Sarah Tislow did my makeup for the shoot and Debbie at Euphoria Day Spa and Salon  did my hair.

After this year long journey, I’m pleased to announce the new Sarah Parent Photography

Since I’ve left y’all hanging for awhile while I was in the midst of all this change and I didn’t post as nearly often as I would have liked, here’s a sneak peek of things to come, including a senior sessionwith triplets and a gorgeous wedding:
