Alex turns ONE!

Last January, my very first blog post ever featured Baby Alex, so I thought it was only fitting he be the spotlight of the last post of 2008.  He turned 1 earlier this month and I got a chance to photograph him prior to his big birthday.

Here he is downtown with his mom and dad, Aaron and Laura:

Back at home, having a little fun underneath the table:

And with his birthday hat (ok, so maybe he wasn’t having so much fun with his birthday hat :) )

But he had a little more fun with elephant:

And in the snow…. (I love this one)

It’s been incredible for me to see how much Alex has grown from session to session over the course of a year.  Here are shots from his 1 month, 3 month, 6 month, 9 month and 1 year session:

I’ve been truly blessed with so many great clients in 2008.  I’m looking forward to 2009 and I wish all of you a very Happy New Year!

Hannah & Dave: engaged!

I met up with Hannah and Dave on the Purdue campus for their engagement session back in October.  When I look at these images I think two things:  1.  Hannah and Dave are in love.  2.  I miss Autumn.

I love Purdue’s campus in the fall.

Dave proposed to Hannah underneath the Purdue bell tower, so we thought it would be fitting to get some shots there– Here there are recreating the moment for me–See if you can spot them :)

Dave, making Hannah laugh

This photo shoot was a blast and I’m so excited about Hannah and Dave’s wedding next year!

Also, I’d be amiss if I did not mention the lovely Katie Schultzheiss, who styled Hannah’s hair for the shoot.

More sessions to be posted soon, including a recent wedding!

Megan & Scott

Megan and Scott are an amazing and sweet couple and I had the pleasure of documenting their wedding a couple of Saturday ago.  It took only one look at this dress to see that this wedding would be fabulous

Ok, I have to say I LOVE these Betsey Johnson shoes.  How cool are these?

The lovely bride

And her dapper man, Scott

Scott and his boys outside the ceremony location, Irvington United Methodist Church

Here’s Megan and her fantastic bridesmaids

After the ceremony, we headed over to Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis and the newlyweds braved the cold to get this shot.

Here’s their cake, which had a feature I had never seen before, but absolutely adored– A Bride and Groom bobblehead cake topper!!

Their reception was held at Fountain Square Theatre, which has this incredible painted ceiling.  The setting made their first dance all the more beautiful.

Megan and Scott– Your wedding was filled with so many beautiful moments and I can tell you two are perfect for each other!  Thank you for everything!
