Alex at 6 months

I first met Alex when he was just one month old.  The last time I saw him he was 3 months.   Now he’s 6 months old and he keeps getting more and more adorable each time I photograph him.  Today we went to the park so he could show off his brand new skill of sitting up.

He’s also learning to read :)

Every time I look at this photo, I expect him to be saying, “Hey, you talkin’ to me?!”

He was really just getting ready to sneeze!  :)

Decky even got to join us at the park

Alex had a fun time on the swings

Then it was time to go back home

I’m convinced my camera has a special ability to put babies to sleep….

It was a pleasure, as always, to photograph Alex today and I can’t wait to see just how cute he’ll be when he’s 9 months old!

Corbin, Peyton, Gretchen, & Derek

You may remember this family from a few months ago when I took baby Corbin’s photos when he was just one month old.   It’s amazing to me how much he’s grown!

Check out those baby blue eyes!

He’s a strong boy.

I can always count on Corbin’s big sister, Peyton, to strike a pose for me :)

And she’s a great big sister, too.

Here’s the whole family:  Peyton and Corbin, plus their parents, Gretchen & Derek.  You can see in this one that Corbin is growing a little weary of his modeling career.

So he decided to take a little nap :)

He woke up just in time to fly!

Gretchen, Derek, Corbin, & Peyton- It was so great to see y’all again!! You are quite the adorable family :)

Lisa, Dave, Evan, and Courtney

Lisa and Dave are fellow portrait and wedding photographers that have taken a little break from photography to focus on raising their two children, Courtney and, the most recent addition to the family, Evan.  When Lisa asked me to take their family photos, I was thrilled.   We met last Saturday at Columbian Park

As her parents will tell you, Courtney’s a bit of a diva when it comes to getting her picture taken (kind of like my little Isabelle–I’m convinced it has something to do with having photographer parents!)  Here’s Miss Courtney’s reaction when I asked her to smell a flower :)

Eventually, she started to warm up to me and I think I might have made a new friend:

Baby Evan is pretty laid back.  I think he might have cried about 15 seconds total the entire shoot, and that was towards the end.

Alec, Chase, & Carolyn

This week I met Alec, Chase, Carolyn, and Ginger, the family dog, at the park for some family shots.  The weather was scorching at nearly 100 degrees, but we had a fun time despite the heat.

You can see I’m keeping up on my trend of photographing cute boys :)   These guys are a bit older than the usual “preschool age and under” crowd that I’ve photographed lately, but just as handsome!

They both have a great sense of humor.

Here’s the whole family, including Alec and Chase’s mom, Carolyn.  Ginger sat in for this one, too (very obediently, I might add).

Another one of the whole family (minus Ginger!)

And one more of Alec and Chase, hanging out in a tree.

Alec, Chase, & Carolyn: It was really wonderful to meet y’all and I hope to work with you again soon!

Isaac & Elijah

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to photograph Michelle, her husband, Joe, and two boys Isaac and Elijah at Horticulture Park in West Lafayette.  Isaac and Elijah both kept me laughing the entire time.

Here’s the very handsome Isaac:

And his cutie pie little brother, Elijah:

The whole family:

Brotherly love:

My favorite part of the shoot was when Isaac and Elijah grabbed their parent’s sunglasses and acted like rock stars.

In true rock star fashion, Isaac looked at me as serious as could be before this shot and said, “Just take it, baby“  I nearly fell down laughing.  :)
