Alyssa and Ian’s wedding took place on an unusually warm and beautiful January day, so we were able to head outside for photos and take a ride on the Boilermaker Special without freezing. The whole day was amazing and I was in constant awe of not only the love that the bride and groom share for each other, but also the incredible amount of support their friends and family surround them with.

Alyssa took the time just two days after her wedding to send me this thoughtful note and my whole day was made!

“I wanted to write you a special note to thank you for everything you have done for Ian and myself during our engagement and wedding. You truly made the process fun, smooth, exciting and genuine. Not only do we appreciate what you did for us, but our families could not say enough sweet things about you. The thing that stuck out the most to them was the fact that they all felt appreciated. I heard so many times “how does she remember everyone’s name?!?”. It was fantastic, and the day would not have been the same with out you there to document it. We are so happy to have spent the time we did with you, and can’t wait to see the amazing pictures to come!!! “

Live Music Photography: Fiona Apple

Over the summer, I had the opportunity to photograph Fiona Apple at Murat Theatre in Indianapolis. Blake Mills was her opening act and the show was incredible. I’ve loved Fiona Apple’s music since her first album and I think her latest work should be in the running for Best Album of the Year.

Opening act, Blake Mills, also plays guitar for Fiona Apple.
